Why Write?
Hello from Swift Ink
news from Lara Tupper
Why do you write?
I posed this question recently in a writing class at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. The range of answers surprised me:
"I write for medicine."
"I write for a living."
"I write to know what I'm thinking."
"I write when I'm feeling crazy."
"I write when I have nothing else to do."
"I write so I won't forget."
"I write because I have to."
"I write to know who I am."
Now it's your turn: Tell me why you write. Explain in detail. How does it feel when you put pen to paper or fingers to laptop keys? Give yourself 10 minutes without stopping...and GO.
Feeling generous? Go ahead and post your thoughts on my Swift Ink Stories page for your fellow writers to enjoy.

I hope to see you and your good words again soon!
