Spring is almost here.
There is much in the world that is hard, particularly at this moment. Perhaps ink and song seem of little consequence in the face of international events. They sometimes do to me. But if writing and music serve as balms for you, please do read on.

As I compose this newsletter, I feel far from the ground. "Ungrounded," I would say, by current events. One way I try to counter this feeling is to remember what matters most. What keeps me grounded. For me it's my chickens, my husband, my mother, good books, favorite albums, my desire to be as authentic as possible. (Not necessarily in that order.)
