I'm a history buff. I like to consider how and why things came to be, long before my time.  I've been trying to imagine distant eras and places for a recent writing project and I invite you to do the same.

October writing prompt: If you could go back in time, where and when would you go? And why?

Include smells, sights, sounds, sensations. Spend five minutes at least and see where it goes. (If it turns into 10 or 20, so be it.) Share your words with someone or keep them for yourself.
