Lara Tupper: Swift Ink Stories
Channeling Wonder Woman
I was Wonder Woman for many Halloweens in a row. It seems empowering now, but it was largely due to my Underoos. (Remember those? "The Underwear that's Fun to Wear.") I wore tin foil on my wrists (bullet deflectors) and a blanket for a cape. It was easy. My parents were busy. No photos of me available.
Which I think is just as well, for a few reasons. I appreciate the fact that I have to remember and re-imagine. It feels good for my brain.
October writing prompt:
A Halloween I'll never forget. Write for five minutes or so without worrying about spelling or clarity. Just get it down. Then share it with someone near (or far) and read it out loud to yourself.
See below for two opportunities to connect online this fall. I hope to see you soon, in whatever costume you choose to assemble.
Yours in ink and song,
Lara
