How to Take a Really Cheap Cruise

When I was 22 (right out of college and living in London), I auditioned, on a whim, for Sun Cruises, a British cruise line. A month later I became an Entertainer and found myself singing and dancing on the high seas. At first it was heaven. After 17 years of school I wanted nothing more than to travel and perform. I wanted to run away from hard questions about myself and the Mediterranean was a perfect place to do this. Of course, one can only do the can-can for so long. 

I wrote a book about this experience and I'm pleased to say that it's having a second life as a paperback from Untreed Reads. (It was published first by Harcourt but went out of print.) As of tomorrow, February 24, the book will be on paper again.
