The Gift of Trying Something New
2025 Winter Workshop Series dates announced and a treat for subscribers.
Dear writers,
Happy Saturday to you. I’m eating leftover sweet potato pie and feeling pleasantly tired after a night of dancing with my mother, sisters and dear friends. (Thank you Bobby Sweet and the Chaps.) Waltzes and two-steps. The electric slide. An antidote to NANOWRIMO (National Novel Writing Month), which is about to conclude. Today I’m considering dance lessons, which I haven’t taken in decades (flashback to tap classes in an alcove of the Boothbay Region YMCA, circa 1980). It seems a good time to try something new. Or something old that I’ve ignored for too long. I need a source of creative oomph for the winter season.
